The hotel Don Pedro is located in the heart of the city centre, among two of the most ancient streets of Avilés, within the historical and artistic complex.

The hotel opened its doors in 1999 and it was enlarged in 2005. It has taken his name from Don Pedro Menéndez (1519-1574), Captain of the army of the King Felipe II. It was Pedro Menéndez who founded St. Augustine Florida (the first city in the United States) in 1565.
